Senior Pastor: Pastor Donnie is a native of Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Debbie Jo. He is a graduate of the University of the Cumberland’s and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Presently, he is in the writing phase of earning his doctorate from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He became a Christ follower in his mid twenties. Upon receiving Christ, God placed within him a great passion to make disciples of all nations. Pastor Donnie formerly served as a missions pastor at Mission Arlington and Community Fellowship, a mission of Travis Avenue Baptist in Texas. He was the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Paintsville, Kentucky, for ten years before coming to CBC. Donnie and Debbie have two daughters, Hannah Elizabeth and Grace Caroline. He enjoys spending time with family, taking long walks with Debbie, developing new friendships, reading books of choice and some assigned texts, watching sports and movies, and sharing Christ with others.
Greg Cagle
Creative Arts Worship Pastor: Greg Cagle is the Creative Arts Worship Pastor of Crestwood Baptist Church since June 2009. Prior to Crestwood, he served as Worship Pastor at First Baptist Church, Pikeville, for 11 ½ years. He has also served in full time ministry in Missouri, and Hilton Head, SC, since 1990 as a Music Minister. He holds a degree in Musical Theater from the University of North Texas. He danced in New York City with the Martha Graham Dance Co. and played Paul in "A Chorus Line" at the Shubert Theater on Broadway. Greg and his wife, Cheri have been married almost 15 years and have a son, Paxton, and a daughter, Savannah.
Administrator and Recreation Minister: Mark has been on staff at CBC since September of 2002. He graduated from Morehead State University in 1979 with a degree in Journalism and Broadcast media. Mark was born and raised right here in Oldham County and God's Grace has given him Judy, his beautiful wife, two daughters, Amy and Jessica, and grandbaby Avery . Mark has too many hobbies to list, but running, travel, weed eating, checkbook balancing, and photography head the list.

Discipleship Pastor: Bill Ellis started in his ministry at Crestwood Baptist Church in November 2001. Bill has been serving in full-time ministry snce 1987, with a large portion of that time spent in collegiate ministry. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Elizabeth, have three children, Jordan, Caitlin, and Meredith. Bill enjoys golf, Frisbee golf, and he loves peanut butter mixed with honey.
Chris Platt
Missions and Ministry Pastor: Chris is a PK (Preacher’s Kid) who grew up in Miami, Louisville, New Jersey, and Houston. He became a Christ-follower at age 10. God called him into the gospel ministry when he was a sophomore at Baylor University. Chris has served at CBC since December 2000. He and his wife, Phyllis, have two teenage daughters, Alyssa and Rachel. His greatest passion is worshiping God and sharing Jesus with others. He enjoys hanging out with his family, playing basketball and softball, cheering on the Red Sox, Celtics, and Wildcats, listening to contemporary Christian music, and eating lots of ice cream.
Julia Yuen
Minister of Childhood Education: Julia Yuen has been the Minister of Childhood Education at Crestwood Baptist Church since September 2000. Julia graduated from Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She also earned a Master of Church Music degree and a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She enjoys music, reading, and leading conferences. Julia and her husband, John, have three children, Joshua, Joanna, and Jocelyn. Julia says, "I am thankful for our faithful and dedicated leaders and volunteers who join me in serving the Lord through the Children's Ministry. We are blessed with opportunities to partner with families in laying the foundation of faith in the lives of children and in developing the next generation of believers in Jesus Christ. What a privilege!"
Ben Pottorff
Lead Student Pastor (High School)Ben grew up in a small town in Southern Illinois. He became a Christ-follower at the ripe young age of 19. God called him into the ministry when he was a senior in College. He graduated from Bethel College in McKenzie, TN (1998) where he met his beautiful bride, Lesli.
Ben and Lesli have been serving in Student Ministry together for 12 years. He and his wife have two incredible boys Isaac 8 and Eli 6, who keep them on their toes.
His greatest passion, besides his Lord and family, is developing students to be leaders and daily followers of Christ. Ben is a huge sports fan and loves to play basketball, softball and football. When he is not doing any of those activities he will faithfully follow America's greatest sport team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
Kelly James
Collegiate and Young Adult Minister: Kelly James has served as minister to College and Young Adults at CBC since September 2004. She has been involved in college ministry since 2000 serving on staff at the Baptist Student Union at the University of Louisville and as a collegiate women discipleship leader. Kelly earned a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University in Occupational Therapy in 1999 and a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2003. She has a husband, Chad , daughters Riley and Claire and a son Jake. Her hobbies include spending time with her family. She loves Q'Doba, ice-cream, Panera Bread (ok - anything to do with food), reading magazines on the beach, and playing with Riley, Jacob, and Claire
Sheila Hoffman
Director of Weekday Preschool: Sheila Hoffman has been the Director of Weekday Preschool at Crestwood Baptist since July 2008. She is originally from Romney, W.V. and has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Lock Haven University. Sheila has experience in teaching as well as children's ministry. She says, "I love to teach and I love to teach about Jesus even more. Teaching is not just a job, it is a calling." Sheila has been married to her college sweetheart, Bob, since 1985 and they have two children, Allison, a junior at Bellarmine University and ,Brandon, a sophomore at South Oldham High School. In her spare time she enjoys reading, gardening, spending time at her children's activities and taking long walks.
Julie Bauscher
Creative Design Specialist: Julie Bauscher currently serves as the Creative Design Specialist here at Crestwood Baptist Church. She has served as the Missions & Ministry Associate here at CBC since May 2007, and has served in ministry with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and Baptist Campus Ministry since Aug 2001. Julie earned a Bachelors in Printing Management/Graphic Communications at Murray State University, a Bachelors in Middle School Education from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her hobbies include swimming, reading, watching movies, walking, being creative, hanging out in coffee shops, and playing with her nephews - just to name a few.
Office Manager: Rebecca has been a part of the staff at Crestwood since February 2005. She is the Office Manager and Ministry Assistant for Bill Ellis, Minister of Education. Rebecca recently finished her Masters at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is married her wonderful husband Tyler. She enjoys spending her time helping out with her 12th grade girls small group here at CBC. The Lord has taught and continues to teach her much and she strives to serve Him daily.
Sherry Nichter
Children's Ministry Associate: Ms. Sherry has been a member at CBC since 1989 and became the Children's Ministry Associate in 2002. She works along side parents and teachers, but her greatest joy comes from being with the children. She is also a Pre-K teacher in the Weekday Preschool program and has led 3rd graders in Sunday School for 12 years. "They say children spell love T-I-M-E, and I believe that investing time in the life of a child is investing in the future, maybe even eternity."
Sherry and her husband David have been married for 22 years. They are blessed with 5 grown children, and even more blessed with 4 beautiful grandchildren! God is very good!!
Brenda Chaplin
Financial Secretary: Brenda joined the CBC staff in August 2003. She is the financial Secretary. She was born and raised in Louisville, KY where she earned her associates degree in computer programming and data processing technology from the University of Louisville. Brenda is married to Tom Chaplin and has a son Dave. She is involved in the music ministry here at CBC and also enjoys horse back riding and cross stitching. Brenda said, "This job opportunity came at just the right time. Isn't it amazing and awesome how God works!"
Cris Bell
Nursery/Childcare Coordinator: Cris Bell moved to Oldham County from Selmer , Tennessee in January 2003 and has been a member at Crestwood Baptist Church since February 2003. She is now serving as Nursery/Childcare Director. She organizes all childcare for Church wide services and events. Cris and her husband Tyler are parents of four children, Ryan, Tori, Lainey, and Joseph. Her hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, cooking, and watching her kids play sports. Cris says "It is a joyful privilege to serve the Lord by serving the children at CBC."
Jeanne Claypool
Office Assistant: Jeanne Claypool has been on staff at Crestwood Baptist Church since February 2004. She became a member of Crestwood Baptist Church in 1987 . Married to Brian of 31 years and has three sons Nathan, (Meagan), Adam , and Gregory. She has been an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Lead Team members on four Missioncations trips, active with the youth for 18 years,had been Choir, Living Christmas Tree, Couple Time, Vacation Bible School , Wednesday night meals. Active in Sunday school, Spiritual Growth Group and a variety of Bible Study Classes. She is a very organized person and enjoys serving in this manner, as well as helping others get organized.
Art Longnaker
Technical Team Director: Art Longnaker has been on staff since February 2002 serving as the Technical Services Director. If it lights up, makes noise or shows videos, it is probably his responsibility. He earned Associates in Arts from Harrisburg Area Community College and a Bachelors degree from Eastern Kentucky University.
Art and his wife Traci have two children, Chase and Morgan. Art's hobbies include hunting, fishing, reading and coaching his kids in sports.
Becky Oldham
Assistant to the Senior Pastor: Becky has been a member of CBC since 2002 and on staff since September 2008. She and her husband, Loren, have been married for 18 years and are the proud parents of Tyler (16), Cody (15), Rachel (10), and Rebekah (10). Born and raised in Lexington, Ky, it only stands to reason that she is an avid UK fan. She graduated in 1989 with a BA from Hanover College where she double-majored in communication and business administration. She loves football, New York City, and is a less-than-adequate golfer! You may have also seen her in a goofy skit or two! Becky is living proof that “God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise…” She feels blessed to serve in a position that uses her abilities and passions and challenges her weaknesses in a meaningful way to advance the Kingdom of God.
Tommy Simpson
Facilities Team: Tommy has been a member of CBC for almost 39 years. He has been on Facilities staff (full time) since January 1, 1996. Worked part time before 1996 for over 20 years at our previous facility on Floydsburg Road. He has been involved in adult choir, deacon council, foods ministry as well as Church clerk. His true passion is working with YAH, Senior Adults (of which, he is one).
Tommy has been married to Barbara for 38 years and they have two children, Scott (Hope) and Heather (Michael) and 4 grandchildren, Hannah, Garrett, Fallon and Izabella.

Assistant Director Recreation/Senior Adult Ministries: Kelly has been on staff at CBC since January 2006. She graduated in 2008 from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Administration and Communications. She enjoys sports, the outdoors, and hanging out with her family, and the Chicago Cubs!!

Dawn Thompson
Administrative Assistant/Music Teacher Weekday Preschool: Dawn Thompson has been a born-again believer since 1993 and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church since that time. Dawn is the Music and Movement Teacher for our Weekday Preschool and assists the Weekday Preschool Director. Her 12-year administrative background in the insurance industry gives Dawn the experience needed for her various responsibilities in our Weekday Preschool program. She has been employeed at Weekday preschool since 1997.
An active member of CBC, she has worked with the Student Ministries and is now serving in the Children's Ministry.
Dawn is married to Ron Thompson and they have two children, Allison Reynolds and Trent Thompson. She enjoys music above all things and loves to spend time with her husband and children.

Kathi Showalter
Women's Ministry: Kathi Showalter was born and raised in Winchester, KY. She moved to Louisville after graduating from EKU with a BS in psychology in 1986 and moved to Oldham Co in 1994. She and her husband Dean have been married for 21 years and have a 16 year old son, Dean Scott, who is a sophomore at OCHS. Kathi and her family have been members of CBC since 2002. She enjoys reading, watching her son play football and spending time with family and friends. She is very excited and feels blessed to be part of Women’s Ministry at CBC.
Anne Ruschival
Student Ministry Assistant: Anne Ruschival has been attending Crestwood Baptist for her entire life. She graduated from Western Kentucky University obtaining her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She currently serves in the Collegiate and Student Ministries as an assistant and as a Campus Connector. Anne's hobbies include singing, playing instruments, cooking and baking, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
