Corporate Prayer Opportunities

House of Prayer

Join us each Wednesday night from 5:45-7:45 in the sanctuary to pray for our church, for each other, and for the kingdom.  Different prayer stations and helps will be available for you during this self-guided time.  Stay as little or as long as the Lord leads you.

“Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” (Isaiah 56:7)

Prayer Shields

Let us pray for you!  The next time you’re in the building, stop by the Prayer and Praise boards near the Welcome Center.  Write your requests and/or praises and post them on the board.  These requests will be prayed over weekly and then brought to the sanctuary once a month for the whole body to pray over corporately.

“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.” (Matthew 18:20)

Solemn Assemblies

“Solemn assemblies are times for believers to acknowledge God’s righteous judgment upon His people (or the nation).  It is a time to acknowledge our desperate need to return to God for his forgiveness, mercy or special direction.  Prayer is only powerful if it proceeds from people with deeply cleansed hearts (Psalm 66;18; Isaiah 59:1-2; James 5:16)” – Returning to Holiness,  Frizzell

Periodically, CBC will be entering into a special season of prayer and solemn assemblies.  Our most recent Solemn Assembly was held on Sunday, December 4th.

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Prayer, Care, Share (John 10:1-9)

Pray, Care and Share with people in your circle of influence. Our goal is to have representatives praying, caring and sharing wherever our members are located (every neighborhood, each school, each family, every friend).

Prayer

  • Pray for God’s will to be done in lives around you.
  • Ask God to prepare hearts and open eyes to the person of Christ.
  • Ask God to grant you favor among people.

Care

  • Invest in serving others in Christ’s name.
  • Watch for times of  tension, transition and celebration. (examples: new in community,  a birth of a child, the death of a loved one.)
  • Be sensitive to God’s promptings.

Share

  • Share your story of how God worked in the past and is working today.
  • Share the good news of Jesus Christ in written or verbal form.
  • Invite them to a worship service or Christ centered event.
