Over and Above Giving
In addition to your regular tithe, Crestwood Baptist encourages you to go over and above by contributing to other ministry areas. If you would like to give to one of the areas you read about below, simply click ‘Click Here to Give’ at the bottom of the page then select the fund you would like to give to.
Mission Crestwood is a local outreach lead by CBC. Mission Crestwood exists to make disciples and meet needs in Jesus’ name. The three fold process is as follows: 1). To have a ministry resource center. 2). To develop Christ centered community groups within multi-housing units. 3). To train volunteer ministers and missionaries. God is working mightily through Mission Crestwood to transform the world through transformed lives
Loaves and Fishes
Loaves and Fishes is …
– A simple idea based on the “Feeding of the 5,000” miracle, which is the only miracle of Jesus (other than the resurrection) found in all four gospels. You know the story: Matthew 14:13-21, Mark 6:30-44, Luke 9:10-17 and John 6:1-13.
– An opportunity to obediently give our time, talents and treasures for Jesus to bless and use for the good of the entire church body.
– A great way for us to get to know one another in a closer way as we glorify God through creative projects and services that help one another and support the general fund budget at Crestwood Baptist Church.
There are countless ideas for Loaves and Fishes projects. For example, you could turn household decluttering into a Loaves and Fishes donation by taking things you no longer need or want to a consignment shop, or selling them online. You could offer your services to shovel snow, take family photos, mow grass, wash cars, make home repairs or babysit; then donate all or a portion of your earnings to Loaves and Fishes. Be sure to write “Loaves and Fishes” in the memo line of your check and drop it in the offering basket on Sunday morning. God will bless and multiply our Loaves and Fishes.
One out of every six people on the planet live in India. Mission India exists to make disciples and meet needs in Jesus’ name. The goals of Mission India are as follows: 1). Train and equip national pastors and their families. 2). Send mission teams to personally make disciples and meet needs. 3). Provide resources and equip the India church to use those resources personally and practically.
Ways to be involved in India: Pray for the pastors, financially support a pastor and his family, donate finances to dig a water well in a village, donate eyewear for use in the eye clinics, sign up for a mission trip.
Mission India is a great opportunity to transform the world through transformed lives.
We receive this offering in February. It is designed to meet the needs of the poor locally, in eastern Kentucky, and in various international locations. With these funds we have provided food for the hungry, clean water for villages, clothing and household items for hurting families, and help for street children.
What would it look like if CBC had an extra $33,773 per month to share with our neighbors and the nations? That’s our monthly mortgage payment here at CBC. Eliminating this debt would allow us to reach out with transformational strength for God’s Kingdom and see souls won! It would allow more emphasis on disciple making here and around the world. Would you help with a gift over and above your normal giving toward the elimination of our building debt?
