Difference Makers~ This class, led by Tyler Bell, is for young married adults ages 30 to 40 something. Study the Bible to develop your relationship with the Lord Jesus so in return we/He can make a difference in our lives, families, church, workplace, nation, and world. Room 1206.
M.O.S.A.I.C. (Ministry of Serving Adults in Christ)~ This class focuses on studying God's Word and applying His Word to life! Class leaders Kenny Parker and Randy Gibson are happy to welcome you in Room 1204.
Open House~ Taught by Lonnie Bellar, the Bible Miners class gave birth to this new group in hopes of involving more couples in their thirties in Bible Study. Most couples have young kids, but all are welcome. You'll find a welcoming spirit among this group with many Oldham County transplants so feel free to come and join us in room 1212.
Pennington Class~ Small group discussion is the norm for this class led by Harvey Pennington. Upcoming in-depth studies will focus on the book of Romans. The class schedules “get togethers” on a regular basis, some with kids, some without kids. Room 1223.
Seekers~ Women seeking a relationship with Jesus and fellowship with other seekers. Facilitated by Sheree Foley in Room 1211.
Agape~ This is a coed class with members of all ages, taught by Debbie Houston, Mark Hogg, and Paul Upchurch. Class study alternates between a book of the Bible and a topical focus on a relevant Christian issue. Each class ends with an intimate prayer time led by Craig Kidwell or Wanda Bergmann. The class seeks to live out the agape love of Christ by caring for one another and for others through a variety of ministries. Room 1204
Agape Love~ This is a coed class for those ages 50 and over. Virginia Bauscher leads a study of the Scriptures and emphasizes daily Bible study among the members. Socials are typically held semi-annually. Room 1212.
Diversity~ While most members of the Diversity class are age 40 - 60, anyone is welcome to attend. They enjoy topical Bible studies with workbooks. The class members enjoy camping. The members’ children range in age from elementary school to college and are included in all social activities throughout the year, except for one adults only social. The Diversity class serves by adopting a family at Christmas, preparing Thanksgiving baskets, and preparing/delivering meals to those in need. Kathy Kalbfleisch teaches the Diversity class. Room 1218.
Encouragers~ This class comprised of women, ranging in age from 35 - 70, both single and married, is led by Joyce Griffen. Social events are held every 4 - 6 weeks including movies, zoo concerts, socials at home, and more. Currently, the class is using a Beth Moore study as their literature. The members enjoy helping with the Center for Women in Crisis and taking meals to the homeless in our area. Room 1213.
Faith in Action FSO~ Taught by Kris Krake, this class is designed for younger adults, age 25 - 45, both married and single. Most members are married with preschool/younger elementary children. The class studies use the Explore the Bible series. Socials are held after the service on the first Sunday of each month. Room 1202.
Fidelis~ Hannah Laffoon leads this class of women, age 60 and up. Desserts are served at the monthly class gatherings. A picnic is held in July, and the ladies enjoy a Christmas party in December. The class supports Project Graduation, mission trips, and other needs through their class fund. Hannah teaches from the Explore the Bible literature. Room 1224.
Friends in Faith~ Larry Adams leads this group of adults, age of 35 - 55. Most in this class have children at home, ranging in age from preschool to college. The class holds socials quarterly with children always welcome. The members like to participate in blood drives and the Oldham County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Room 1210.
H.O.P.E.~ Helping Other People Eternally. Most members of the H.O.P.E. class are in their 50’s and 60’s. They do not have children at home, and some are grandparents. Socials are held quarterly, generally in a class member’s home. This coed class also enjoys going out for brunch after church quarterly and donates to a hospital in Africa each month. Brenda Pearce leads this class. Room 1216.
J.O.Y.~ Using the Explore the Bible literature, Len Webb leads this class of ages 60 and up. The class supports the Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity. They are active in outreach to the senior adults who are unable to attend Sunday School and church. They call or visit them to extend God’s love. Room 1211.
L.I.G.H.T.~ Life, Inspiring, Growth, Hearing, Truth. This Class led by Larry Johnson centers around group discussion of scripture application in our daily living. Strengthen your relationship with Christ studying and applying Gods message with a friendly and supportive group. Everyone is welcome. Room 1215.
Men~ Larry Smith leads this group of men, ranging in age from 50 - 70. Teaching from the Explore the Bible Sunday School material, he encourages discussion from the members. Room 1205.
New Beginnings~ This coed class has a family atmosphere and holds socials every 2 - 3 months. These involve pot lucks in homes, cookouts, and going out to dinner. The class has collected eyeglasses for the needy in our community and Bibles to be distributed to those without. Taught by Larry Cunningham. The members range in age from 50 - 75. Some have college age children at home. Room 1214.
S.A.L.T.~ an acronym for Serving And Learning Together. This class is made up mostly of couples who are ages 40-50. The class has socials on a regular basis, some of which include children. Class members are encouraged to use their spiritual gifts in service for the Lord. Tom’s teaching focuses on an in-depth study of Scripture and its applications to daily life. Room 1223.
T.E.L.~ Led by Saundra Ziegler, this class caters to mature women. The ladies enjoy monthly luncheons and class meetings. The class is very interested in learning, and Saundra teaches from the denominational quarterlies. The weekly offering goes to class projects in our church and community and to various mission opportunities. Room 1220.
T.R.U.T.H. (Teaching Real and Undeniable Truths about Him)~ This is a couples class led by Dennis Johnson. The class is for those wanting to dig into the the word and learn more about Him-currently they are focusing on Paul's letters. They will be having social get-togethers on a quarterly basis or whenever they feel led. Room 1222.
Women~ This class is led by Lucy Streitenberger and consists of women aged 45 - 70. The class collects for their class fund each week and uses the money to fund special projects throughout the church. They minister to their members by preparing meals for those who have suffered a loss and sending birthday cards. They spend 1/2 the class time in fellowship with one another and the other 1/2 in the lesson. They hold class socials 3 times a year with pot luck dinners or going out to dinner as a class. Bible Miners~ This class, taught by Tim Smith and Brian Thomas, is for young adults, age 30-40ish. They are building a closer relationship with God, families, and each other. This class ministers to each other and wants to reach out to people who don’t know Christ. They have periodic social events. Class size ~ 30 - 35. Room 1226.
Authentic~ Taught by Kelly James, Gary Guthrie, and Tim Liechty, this class is designed for those aged 18-mid 20's that are either in college or have entered the work force. Room 2102 *(room located off walking track)
D.I.G. (Disciples in Growth)~ This class is designed for young adults to help the group "dig" into book and character studies. Room: 1204.
D.I.G. Couples~ The DIG couples class is made up of "under 30's", some of which have small kids. As "Disciples In Growth", Andy Moore leads the group through relevant Bible Study by encouraging participants to make practical application to life, work, and family. This class meets in room 1220
T.O.U.C.H. (Teaching Others Under Christ’s Hand)~ This coed class is targeting the 40ish age range, but welcomes all ages. The class leader, Loren Oldham, seeks to combine a time of dynamic and relevant teaching of God’s Word with a genuine concern for one another that results in encouraging, bearing one another’s burdens and spurring one another on toward love and good deeds. The class has quarterly socials that include children about 50% of the time. Room 1223.
In the Word~ 11 AM in room 1216. For adults of all ages who want to explore the truth of God's Word together by examining the Bible one book at a time, while engaging in interactive discussion and fellowship, and seeking practical application for Christian living.
