Cancer Support Ministry
What CBC Has to Offer
We have Christian based support groups for both cancer patients and their caregivers or others touched by cancer. These groups are intended to serve those in our community who have a need for the support of others in this time of unique concerns and experiences. The groups are a safe place to share and confront feelings and frustrations as they occur. We also want to help promote awareness and education about different types of cancer and the resources available.
Practical Help-providing assistance with home fix up or alterations.
Cards-Ministering to others through occasional words of encouragement.
Phone-Periodic follow up conversations to help with changing needs.
Prayer-Enlisting our church prayer warriors to lift up and pray over the needs of patients and their families.
Paraclete-Pairing survivors with patients to encourage and educate those who have added coping with cancer to their journey.
Education-Informing, raising awareness, and educating the church and community of the various aspects of cancer.
Support Groups-Providing emotional and spiritual support to patients, caregivers, and families.
