UPCOMING EVENT

Unmapped Darkness:  Finding God’s PATH through Suffering.

Come Join us for a Church Wide Women’s Worship Event!  We have talked all semester about how God Transforms Through His Word, Mentors, Compassion and Leadership.  Well Join us for a worship event that will focus on our last topic “God Transforms through Suffering.”  Yes…we said Suffering.  Because it may very well be during the “Unmapped Darkness” of suffering that God transforms us the most.

Friday Night June 29th 7-8:30 in the Worship Center

Speaker: Deb Neilan

Ladies,

It is my humble joy to serve as your women’s minister and fellow servant of Christ with each of you.  I want you to know that my heart is to serve strongly and to serve well.  My passion is to not just “run ministry programming” but to know and be led by God to truly transform the world around us.

“Transforming the World through Transformed Lives” is our mission statement.  If that is the call of our life based on the Great Commission in Matthew 28, then we want to be a church and ministry that truly lives this out.

So How Do We Do That?

We have been on our knees asking that very question.  And we asked the question if that is our direction, how did God transform our own lives?  What did He use?

We came up with 6 common transformation denominators in our own lives:

God Transformed Us through:

  • 1.  His Word – it is how we know Him.  It is how we know His mind, our call, His direction.
  • 2.  Mentors – God used different people along the way to speak His Word into our lives…to encourage us to see through God’s eyes, to challenge us to be who we can be in Christ, to warn us when we were going against the direction of God
  • 3.  Compassion – God allowed us to see both a spiritual and physical need around us and to be aware that we were to be His Hands and Feet and to be the answer to prayer as we went day by day.
  •  4.  Leadership – We all were asked to do something that we did not feel equipped to do or ready, but God grew us and transformed not only us but others around us
  •  5.  Events – yes…not so spiritual…but perhaps effective!  Think of the youth that has been told by his parents, family, youth minister about God for years…and then he goes to camp and gets saved….well… there is something about a timeout with God that transforms us.
  • 6.  Suffering – did you say suffering?  Yep!  We don’t like it and we don’t want it and we can’t orchestrate it – but God uses it over and over again…so our question is will we embrace it when it comes and allow it to transform us or will we be hardened?

 So based upon those commonalities:

The vision is simple.

We want to use those things intentionally to Transform Your Life and give you intentional opportunities to Transform the world around you.

Our ministry is thus named P.A.T.H. because we want to Purposefully Aim for Transformed Hearts.  We know that God does this but as a ministry we will be intentional with what we do and why we do it.

Please pray for us!  We don’t have it all figured out…but we know a God who does…and we want to follow His presence, direction and move when He says so….

Pray we never fall into the trap of “doing ministry”…but that we Know Him and Follow Him and everything else will fall into place.

I challenge each of you to place yourself in 2 environments:

1.  An environment  that transform YOU

2.  An environment that Transform the World around you.

It will look different for each of you…but it is right even if it is hard.

It is with great love and responsibility that I partner with each of you.  Pray for me and I will for you.

 Blessings Ladies,

 Kelly
