The food bank is open on Tuesdays 9 – 1 pm and Thurdays 9 – 1 pm and 2-6 pm to provide food to those in need. We need volunteers to provide money to purchase food, help with food distribution, and meet repair needs as they arise.
Jefferson Street Ministry Center
Jeff Street Center ministers to the homeless through a day shelter program, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, meals and worship. The center is located at 1831 Baird Street. For more information or opportunities to help, you can contact PPC at 502-776-2635.

Oldham County Ministerial Association
OCMA coordinates efforts of the churches to meet physical and spiritual needs of struggling families. In the fall, they collect school supplies to assist hundreds of students getting ready for the school year. During the holiday season, hygiene/needs baskets are gathered to distribute to the elderly.
This fund benefits those in our church family and community who are in crisis/need. Needs are made known to the church office and then our benevolence team considers how we might provide assistance. Please call our church office (241-8534) to express a need you or a friend might have.
We are being USED by God to show God’s love in a practical way through a variety of projects. You may find us in a neighborhood raking leaves, at an intersection passing out free Pepsi’s, in an apartment complex distributing Christmas stockings full of goodies, or at a local business providing a cup of coffee along with a pastry to the workers. Projects are planned four-six times each year. It’s great for families! To get involved or find out information about our next project, contact Chris Platt at 241-8534.
SENT is a team committed to evangelism. Jesus said in John 17:18, “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.” This team senses they have been sent by Jesus into our community specifically to do one-on-one witnessing at various Oldham County events throughout the year. Any person with a passion for evangelism is welcome to join the team!
Habitat for Humanity
Each spring our Mission’s Ministry coordinates CBC’s involvement in the building of a Habitat house. In recent years our projects have been located in Louisville’s west end. We work side-by-side with Christ-followers from other evangelical churches to complete the house. Skilled carpenters lead the way but this ministry is not limited to the experts! If you can hammer a nail, hang a door, or paint a wall, you are welcome to join the team!

When the new CBC facility was built, the vision was cast that over the next ten years we plan to raise $1,000,000 (over and beyond our tithes) to meet the needs of the poorest of poor. This offering was named M25, the Matthew 25 offering. Twice each year an offering is received to meet the needs of the poorest of the poor in “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Thus far, funds have helped a local food ministry and homeless shelter. Other funds have assisted a food and clothing ministry in eastern Kentucky, an outreach to lepers in Ghana, a feeding center in Dominican Republic, and a ministry to street children in Romania.
Red Cross of Oldham County
CBC partners with the Red Cross to care for people in need. Those with emergency needs are directed to this agency for immediate help. Our second connection point is blood drives. Our recreation ministry coordinates dates with the Red Cross to keep blood supply levels strong.
Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association
Baptist churches across Oldham and Trimble Counties share resources and work together in strengthening churches and community ministries and reaching this area with the gospel. CBC prayerfully and financially supports OTBA. OTBA can be reached at 225-9449.
Iglesia Bautista de Amanecer
Churches of the Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association sponsor Iglesia Bautista de Amanecer, a Hispanic church meeting in Ballardsville. God has done a great work through this ministry in reaching and discipling Hispanics living in this area. CBC’s involvement has included prayer and financial support as well as providing meals from time to time. We follow the Acts 1:8 model in planting churches – this church fulfills our desire to plant churches in ” Jerusalem .”
CBC gives generously to the Cooperative Program. Southern Baptist churches across the United States give a portion of their offerings to the Cooperative Program to fund missionary work both home and abroad, seminary training for ministers, and a plethora of ministries. Visit their site to learn more.
Moms in Prayer International
Moms in Prayer International (MITI) formally named Moms in Touch provides a structure for women to meet and pray for students, teachers and schools. We also have a Moms in Touch group that goes into the women’s prison to pray with inmates who are separated from their children. We need women to volunteer to go into the women’s prison the first Saturday of each month.
