Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center
Crossroads plans to “bring hope, help and healing to those affected by unplanned pregnancy.” Their vision is to have a Christ-centered, non-denominational ministry that provides resources, education, and love to those in need before, during, and after an unplanned pregnancy or abortion. Their services are free. Crossroads is located at 606 Crystal Place, Suite #10 & 11, Lagrange, 40031. They have a private entrance in the rear. For more information you can contact the director, Denise Myers at 510-4944 or go to the website at www.cprcky.org.
When the new CBC facility was built, the vision was cast that over the next ten years we plan to raise $1,000,000 (over and beyond our tithes) to meet the needs of the poorest of poor. This offering was named M25, the Matthew 25 offering. Twice each year an offering is received to meet the needs of the poorest of the poor in “Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Thus far, funds have helped a local food ministry and homeless shelter. Other funds have assisted a food and clothing ministry in eastern Kentucky, an outreach to lepers in Ghana, a feeding center in Dominican Republic, and a ministry to street children in Romania.

Prodigal Ministries was founded in 1994 and now has 3 homes. Two homes are located in Oldham County: the McCauley House in downtown Crestwood, and the Wright House in Buckner. Volunteers are needed to contribute money to help with costs of programming and help with maintenance of both homes.
Women on Mission
This vital ministry has impacted the world many times over in its years of existence. These women work diligently to learn about and support world missions. Join them any time. They normally meet the third Tuesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.- Noon at CBC. This fund benefits those in our church family and community who are in crisis/need. Needs are made known to the church office and then our benevolence team considers how we might provide assistance. Please call our church office (241-8534) to express a need you or a friend might have.
Each fall we assist a family through the Oldham County Repair Affair. The Oldham-Trimble Association’s Director of Missions provides us with a project. In recent years, we have replaced sinks, repaired front doors, painted the inside and outside of the house, and shared the love of Jesus with the homeowners.
Red Cross of Oldham County
CBC partners with the Red Cross to care for people in need. Those with emergency needs are directed to this agency for immediate help. Our second connection point is blood drives. Our recreation ministry coordinates dates with the Red Cross to keep blood supply levels strong.
Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association
Baptist churches across Oldham and Trimble Counties share resources and work together in strengthening churches and community ministries and reaching this area with the gospel. CBC prayerfully and financially supports OTBA. OTBA can be reached at 225-9449.
Iglesia Bautista de Crestwood
CBC welcomes IBC to our campus! Carlos De la Barra is the pastor. They meet on Sundays and Wednesdays here at CBC.
Iglesia Bautista de Amanecer
Churches of the Oldham-Trimble Baptist Association sponsor Iglesia Bautista de Amanecer, a Hispanic church meeting in Ballardsville. God has done a great work through this ministry in reaching and discipling Hispanics living in this area. CBC’s involvement has included prayer and financial support as well as providing meals from time to time. We follow the Acts 1:8 model in planting churches – this church fulfills our desire to plant churches in “Jerusalem .”
CBC gives generously to the Cooperative Program. Southern Baptist churches across the United States give a portion of their offerings to the Cooperative Program to fund missionary work both home and abroad, seminary training for ministers, and a plethora of ministries. Visit their site to learn more.
Moms in Prayer International
Moms in Prayer International (MITI) formally named Moms in Touch provides a structure for women to meet and pray for students, teachers and schools. We also have a Moms in Touch group that goes into the women’s prison to pray with inmates who are separated from their children. We need women to volunteer to go into the women’s prison the first Saturday of each month.
Oldham County Ministerial Association
OCMA coordinates efforts of the churches to meet physical and spiritual needs of struggling families. In the fall, they collect school supplies to assist hundreds of students getting ready for the school year. During the holiday season, hygiene/needs baskets are gathered to distribute to the elderly.
