Jesus: The One and Only – Sermon 2-1-15

February 1st, 2015  |    |  Scripture: :-  |  Series:

Sunday, February 1, 2015
Dr. Chuck McAlister—KBC Director of Evangelism
Title:  Jesus: The One and Only
Text:  John 14:6

…In one statement, Jesus exposed the 4 myths that most people today believe about religion:

1.. MYTH #1…All religions are the SAME.
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the Way…’”
¨ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, – (Romans 3:23)
¨ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.  – (Romans 6:23)
¨ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.- (Rev. 3:20)

2. MYTH #2…All religions are TRUE.
“…and the Truth…”
¨ And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  – (Jn 8:32)
¨ Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.  – (Jn 8:36)

3.  MYTH #3…All religions are GOOD GUIDES for LIVING LIFE.  “…and the Life…”

4. MYTH #4…All religions LEAD to GOD.
“…No one goes to the Father except through me.”
