Upward Basketball and Cheer are  recreational and instructional  leagues promoting character, self-esteem, and Salvation. The end of the season includes an awards ceremony and league award for each participant.

Practices are held for 1 hour, one night per week (Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday).  Your child will practice at either Crestwood Baptist or Crestwood United Methodist Church. (Both churches are part of the same league).

Practices begin the first week of December

Games are on Saturdays beginning in January


$85.00 per participant

Basketball includes team jersey, t-shirt, player kit, team and individual picture, and end of season award.

Cheer includes  cheer jersey, cheer skort, player kit, team and individual picture, and end of season award.

Upward Basketball is designed for boys grades K-8th and girls grades K-6th – Divisions are as follows:

  • Kindergarten: Coed (all other divisions offered for boys and girls separately)
  • 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th/6th Grade, 7th/8th (boys)
  • Kindergarten participants must be enrolled in Kindergarten, or 5 years old by October 1, 2015.

Upward Cheerleading is open to all boys and girls grades Kindergarten through 6th grade.

  • Teams will be broken down into teams based upon grade level and the number of participants in the league.
  • Kindergarten participants must be enrolled in Kindergarten or 5 years old by October 1, 2015.


Crestwood Baptist Church and Crestwood United Methodist Church.

Some age groups will travel to other community churches for some of their games.
